In previous articles, I wrote about exchange-traded funds and the importance of investing early to build wealth. Well, what happens if you want to start investing but can’t find a fund or individual stock that you like? Suppose that you want to invest in a certain trend. However, you don’t want to put all your money into one company since it is too risky. At the same time, there’s no index fund that properly reflects that trend or idea. You are in luck, there is something called motif investing.
What is Motif Investing?
Motif investing allows you to build your own fund based on individual stocks or ETFs (exchange-traded funds). You can even choose the weighting of each holding that is part of your motif. Each motif allows for up to 30 stocks or ETFs. It also allows you to choose from other professionally-designed or user-designed motifs to capitalize on various trends. You’re basically investing in a basket of stocks that reflects a certain trend or idea in the marketplace.
What are Some Examples?
Chinese solar, online gaming, 3D printing, eating out, bio-tech breakthroughs, and high-yield dividends are all examples of motifs you can invest in.

What are the Benefits?
What are the Risks?
If you think that you have picked up on a promising trend or idea, I highly recommend using motifs to invest in that idea. Click on the link below to start investing today (make sure your ad blocker is off).
